Is Pro-Southern Synonymous with Pro-Slavery?

I was excited and honored to see a subscription from a name I am very familiar with. This gent is a strong writer on the subject of Southern Heritage, and Confederate Flags, Monuments and History, and I consider him to be a Defender of Southern Heritage. There really should be a medal for that!!! Below are a couple of posts from this fellow SCV member from different times but which fit together very well. I’ve been following his writing and work for some time, and particularly enjoy (and use quotes from) an excellent refutation by Mr. Paulk posted on Dixie Outfitters, regarding the silliness surrounding Southern Shame on the subject of the Confederate Flags and the Confederate Battle Flag.

Being pro-Southern is not synonymous with being pro-slavery. The Yankees did not “loose their hounds” upon our honorable ancestors to eliminate slavery. It was to continue the raping of the South for exorbitant taxes. Stating that 5% of the population owned slaves is not diminishing the wrongness of slavery. The position is trying to be made that the re-writers of history have laid ALL the blame of slavery at our feet, which is absolutely wrong. The North had slaves too. Nobody, that I am aware of, approves of, or defends, slavery. But the fact is that it was a way of life in that time period, and the British and New England Yankees are the ones who brought them here and sold them, both to Yankees and to Southerners.

I am a member of the SCV and feel it my duty, to my ancestors and my descendants, to pass along the true accounts of The War of Northern Aggression, which is what I have been doing for years now in the way of my True History CD. I have given hundreds of them away, and hope to given thousands more away, in the effort to bring the truth to light, that truth which “those people” have buried and rewritten in order to indoctrinate generations of Americans with hogwash. No sir, I can’t see it being difficult to be a Christian and Pro-Southern at the same time. If my “pro-Southerness” offends anyone, they need only to read and learn the truth about our history from one of my CDs, or the many fine books in print that prove the Yankee myth is but a big lie.

I will not apologize to anyone for supporting my heritage and culture, nor for being a Christian and serving my God ,both of which are being attacked on all fronts. The genocide of our culture seems to be fine with most people, yet they would scream bloody murder if it happened to anyone else. I do not sit still for it, but return fire with the undeniable truth. Slavery was not the issue of the war, but self-government and the rights protected by, and delineated, in the Constitution, which the North was violating.

A lunatic goes into a church and coldly murders nine people as they are worshiping our God. This is an inexcusable act. Just as inexcusable are the attacks by politicians and others with an agenda. They are attacking guns and the Confederate Flag, blaming these inanimate objects for this horrid crime. They are politicizing this mass murder to push their own selfish, narrow-minded agenda, without one thought to these poor victims, their families, and friends. How shameful! That gun did not just jump up and run into the church and start killing people. There was a sick person using it that caused this tragedy. Pictures of this lunatic holding a small Confederate Flag mean absolutely nothing, but those who are pushing the cultural genocide war against all things Southern and Confederate see this as an opportunity to further their sick agenda.

These people are just as sick as the kid who committed these murders. They are trying to stamp out the Constitution, both the 1st and 2nd Amendments, with their convoluted views on guns and history. They pushed for the removal of the Confederate Flag from the SC Capitol building 20 years ago, and said it would be fine to have it at the current location. They promised to never bother the flag again. Well, we see how good their word is. Connect the dots back to Reconstruction when rewritten history started to be taught to school children, and you can see how 150 years of indoctrination and brainwashing has twisted the thinking of millions of people, and sadly, many Southerners belong to this brainwashed group. Our Confederate ancestors fought, not to protect and promote slavery, but to defend their homes and families from the raping, pillaging, burning, and murder that was thrust upon them by Lincoln’s illegal invasion.

Lincoln was after the revenues and cared not a whit about slavery. The South was paying 85% of the federal revenues, and getting very little in return, while the Northern industrialists and bankers were reaping the benefits. The Confederate Flag represents a people fighting for the exact same reasons their ancestors fought the Revolutionary War. For people to take such a heartbreaking and senseless tragedy as this mass killing in Charleston, SC and without any thought of the victims, just turn it into a political platform for gun control, which is a proven failure, and the further cultural genocide of our Confederate heritage and symbols is beyond inexcusable. It wreaks of cultural Marxism, and it must be brought to a halt. As Sir William Wallace stated in 1281, “Any society which suppresses the heritage of its conquered minorities, prevents their history, and denies them their symbols, has sewn the seed of its own destruction.” I pray that the cultural genocide crowd would wake up, along with the gun control crowd, before it is too late.
